Mughal Miniatures

A Dialogue of Detail, Light, and Legacy

My miniature painting work explores the beautiful world of Mughal art, where careful detail meets creativity, and where stories come alive through color and delicate brushwork. This art form has a long history of skill and dedication, and each piece I make continues that tradition.

I take inspiration from classic Mughal art: palace scenes, poetic gardens, symbolic flowers, and moments frozen in time. But I also bring my own modern style to each piece. By combining old techniques with today’s colors, simpler designs, and gentler storytelling, I create work that honors the past while speaking to the present.

For me, miniature painting is about attention and patience. It’s about finding beauty in small things. My brush, sometimes made from just a single hair, lets me add tiny, personal details. Every flower petal, every fold in fabric, every touch of gold leaf asks the viewer to look closely. And when you do, the act of looking becomes peaceful and meditative.
